JOIN US

There’s something for everyone at DON. Whether you’re an organizer, educator, parent, or community member, we would love to have you get involved. Below, you can find the resources to join our newsletter, become a part of our educator/teacher network, and donate to the cause.

Students

Fill out our Organizer Form if you are interested in promoting DON’s values within your community! You will be responsible for tasks such as promoting the initiative among students within your district, speaking at school board meetings, and hosting workshops and events in your area. We will support you through one on one Zoom calls/ resources whenever you need— no experience necessary.

Note: We also recruit for our National team twice a year, once in late summer/early fall and once in winter, typically December. Positions are open to high school and college students and are compensated a small stipend. Subscribe to our newsletter and follow our Instagram to stay updated with recruitment! Our National Team recruitment for fall 2023 has ended. Keep an eye out for our mid-year applications!

Educators

We ask that you join our educator Facebook Group and subscribe to our newsletter! We often host webinars and ask for educator feedback on our resources and materials.

Use our Action Guide!

We have two action guides, one for chapter level action and one for district level action. District level work includes working towards district wide mandates and policy goals, whereas our chapter guide focuses on what you can do within your immediate high school! Start with either guide, but we recommend focusing on taking things one step at a time. You’ve got this!

OUR CHAPTERS

View our chapters and their Chapter Leads here! Feel free to contact your lead at the contact listed below if your area already has an existing chapter. If not, we’ll help you start your own! Either way, fill out the organizer form so we can add you to our organizer list.
